This will be a short one as I didn't do the week before til last Tuesday... so...

Currently Reading
The Silver Linings Playbook , by Matthew Quick (55% Complete): This is my book club book this month. Not sure I would have picked it up on my own, but am so glad I'm being forced to! So far, I love it. It's one of those books, you can't for the life of you describe why you like it, the writing just flows over you like prose. It's also not a slog of a read - in two lunch breaks, I'm already over halfway through.

The Hero With a Thousand Faces
, by Joseph Campbell (26% Done): Silver Linings Playbook distracted me...

Getting Things Done: The Art of Stress-free Productivity by David Allen (52% Complete): Don't say it. I know. *Face Palm*

Books Finished
The Pillars of the World (Tir Alainn, #1) by Anne Bishop: This book did not disappoint! It has gone a long way to redeem the Fae genre for me. It flaunts convention and ends up being unbearably beautiful for it. Anne Bishop is a magical, magical author. (Note: A few Adult Level elements, but much less than many other Anne Bishop books).

Jacob (Nightwalkers, #1) by Jacquelyn Frank: There were some pretty interesting concepts in here, but it was hard to get past the dialogue. Not WHAT they said but HOW - a marked lack of contractions, etc. Just didn't feel natural, made it very hard to read. BUT there were one or two concepts at the end that make me want to read the sequel just to see where they go. I HATE that, when I sincerely dislike a book, but there's that irritating hook that makes you want to continue even though you know you'll hate the rest of the books just as much. I'm so weak. (Warning: Adult Level Elements)

Around the Internets

I misplaced my Kindle... AGAIN...
I discovered that a big company buying a smaller company isn't always bad for the customer...
